Bed and Breakfast Description

The apartment comprises a double bedroom with en suite bathroom - additional double bedrooms can be made available on request. A well equipped dining kitchen, private entrance hall and a lovely old sitting room with timbered walls and large windows overlooking the fjord and mountains.

A private garden, fully equipped with outdoor furniture and a barbecue is on site. We are situated approximately 2 km from the centre of Ulvik village, and the surrounding area is ideal for walking.

The distance from Bergen is 165 km and Voss is 44 km away. A car is essential, and the best route from the UK is by ferry from Newcastle to Bergen.

Area Attractions and Activities:

This is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The folk museum in Utne is worth a visit, and so is the Nature Centre in Eidfjord. Bikes can be hired from the tourist information office.

They also organize guided tours. If you want to see the mountains from above, you can book a helicopter ride at the hotel in the village. Ulvik is known as the "Pearl in Hardanger", one of the most beautiful places in Norway.

The sitting room in the apartment dates back to the 1830's. It has original timbered walls and antique furniture. The view from the windows is breathtaking!

The dining room in the Farmhouse dates back to the 18th century. This is where breakfast is served. It has an enormous cast iron wood burner, and the oldest grandfather clock in the entire village.
