Le Haut Quesnay is a beautiful stone house built during the 16th century, set amongst 9 acres of meadows in a secluded place away from the road, it offers a peaceful location with excellent accommodation.

The house offers 2 wonderful bedrooms, they are very spacious, comfortable and retain many original features. They are well presented, decorated and furnished to the highest standard.

The House has full central heating, and features beautiful views over fields and pasture.

There is parking adjacent to the house, and during the summer enjoy the tranquil evening with a BBQ and a cool drink.

Please note we enforce a no smoking policy in all accommodations.

With easy access to ferry ports and airports, the comfortable house offers an excellent base for the D-Day landing beaches, Utah only 20 minutes away, Bayeux and many more historical sights.

The dining room features a fireplace, tiled floor and snug area with comfortable armchairs where guests can relax and plan their day or enjoy the open fire during winter.

A private cottage is also available, it sleeps up to 4 people and has excellent facilities, TV, DVD, Microwave, fridge, cooker, etc. It is very comfortable. Parking and a private garden where you can enjoy the country.

    Area Attractions and Activities:

    St. Lo is 6 miles south and for horses lovers it hosts one of France's 23 National Studs. You can visit the stables and courtyard from June to September. It also has museums, chateaus, gardens and much more.

    Carentan is 6 miles north, it is a small French town with shops, a market and a small harbor for yachts. D-Day landing beaches, a pivotal moment in WWII history, with museums, monuments, exhibitions and cemeteries, see the Mulberry Docks at Arromanche. Each place a true piece of history reminding us of each brave serviceman's gift to us. Le Dézert, within 15 minutes walking distance from the house, it offers a bar/restaurant, local shop and patisserie. Saint-Jean-de-Daye, a larger village with a pharmacy, bars, resaurants, hair dressers, vets and a bank.

    Caen, one hour away with shops and museums. Caen is known for its historical buildings built during the reign of William the Conqueror, who was buried here, and for the Battle for Caen; heavy fighting that took place here.
