The Lookout Inn is a beautifully designed inn, nestled on the hillside of a Costa Rican rain forest, along the coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Corcovado National Park.

Bed and Breakfast Description

This total Eco Home is powered by the sun and all rooms have lights and fans. The main building bedrooms are spacious with private baths and hot water. There are two cabins separate from the main house with private baths. Two open air Tiki Huts with shared bath & new open air Monkey House with private bath & balcony.

Meals are usually served buffet style and dining is on the main deck. The Inn's signature jalapeņo cheese bread, banana nut muffins, cinnamon rolls, mango pancakes and pineapple crepes are for breakfast. Wonderful rice and veggie dishes and smoked cheese for our vegetarian guests.

Our oceanside, mountain high location on the Osa Peninsula has spectacular views. Rooms are spacious with private baths and fans. The swimming pool is adjacent the hammock house. Recent additions to the Inn include a deck in front of the guest rooms for lounging or candlelit dining, a massive wooden staircase that spans down to the gardens and beach below, private bungalows separate from the main house, and a cascading hot tub that overlooks the gardens.

We just finished The Swing-Inn Cabina at The Spa, it is a beautifully designed open air cabin with a huge private patio which includes 3 hammocks, a comfy couch, chairs and a small cool pool, all surrounded by tropical plants and orchids.

An artistically crafted spiral staircase in the kitchen leads to the open-air deck with a breathtaking vista. There is a bar here as well as under-roof seating for your dining pleasure

Area Attractions and Activities:

The main and third floor observation deck is where all the action is, and stunning views of the ocean, Corcovado National Park and flocks of Scarlet Macaws. In the tropical garden, the pond, is where the amazing green, red eyed frog hangs out and plays hide and seek while singing along as guests try to locate him...it's a game in the tropics.

Flowering hibiscus create trails from the beach to the swimming pool for guests to enjoy entire days of relaxing and rejuvenating. While enjoying a cool drink and a dip in the pool you can feast your eyes on a variety of flowers, fruit trees, amazing bird life and more.

Experience the real thrill of a rainforest, bird watching is very popular as is kayaking, horseback riding, jungle treks, exploring waterfalls, and a range of guided tours.

Most Popular Rooms:

Open air tiki huts are a new favorite. They are private and a short walk across the garden. The shared bathroom facilities separate the two huts, each with a queen bed and netting. The jungle is all around you with views of the ocean.

Two new cabina's separate from the main building, each with private bath, open and roomy with mosquito netting over the bed are very popular.
