Ask Pamela

How can I create a lodge-style game room at home?

Good question. It’s certainly true that game rooms are an increasingly popular addition to many homes. Whether you opt to go for a dedicated room to house bigger equipment such as a pool table, or utilize part of your existing family room or other space, the key is to keep the game options fun and easily accessible.

Something as simple as having a table dedicated to playing games with a storage space nearby to house them can make those evenings of game entertainment an accessible option. Why not add some fun, extra stuff like a dart board, a small fridge for instant refreshments, and a couple of colorful game-oriented images to get everybody in the mood? Part of the pleasure of being in an Inn and playing games is the companionship and social aspect, so making a game night a regular theme for family and friends makes for an easy, fun filled way to entertain.

A special treat always adds to everyone’s pleasure. Find some most requested Inn recipes for cookies, appetizers and more in our Recipe section on Lanierbb.com.
