Ingredients: 3/4 cup margarine or butter 1 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup molasses 1 egg 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 cups flour, all purpose 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon salt granulated sugar Instructions: Melt shortening in pan. Let cool. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to wet. Chill. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. |
