Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
2 lb washed and drained spinach leaves (coarse stems removed)
2 to 3 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup half & half
1/2 cup currants, lightly packed
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp slightly packed lemon zest

Homemade whole wheat bread, toasted, buttered, cut into points.

Instructions:
Melt butter in heavy skillet, add and wilt spinach. Stir in the half & half, then currants, then remaining ingredients. Mix well, when half & half is almost absorbed it is done (do not overcook!). Chop the finished spinach mixture so it is easier to spread on toast. If to be served at once, the spinach can be spread on the toast points, if allowed to set for even a few minutes is is better to offer the buttered toast and spinach seperately for each guest to serve themselves.
