Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups water 1/3 cup grits 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder Pinch each of dried basil & dried thyme Salt & pepper to taste 1/2 Tablespoon margarine Paprika to garnish Instructions: Bring water to a boil, add grits and dry seasonings, cover, reduce heat and simmer at least 10 minutes, adding water occasionally to maintain desired consistency. The longer this simmers, the creamier it will be. Remove from heat, stir in margarine. Spoon into individual ramekins and sprinkle with paprika. |
