Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
Dough:
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups unsifted flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup coarsely chopped cashews
1/3 cup sour cream

Frosting:
1 stick butter
2 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons half & half
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:
In a large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg. Beat well. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and sour cream. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheets. Slightly flatten with palms of hands. Bake at 370 degrees 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are browned. Immediately remove from baking sheets. Cool completely and frost.Makes about 60 cookies.

Frosting:
Melt butter until light brown. Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla, half & half and sugar. Beat until smooth.
