Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 15 servings 

Ingredients:
Dough:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups flour
20 ounce can cherry pie filling

Frosting:
6 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add vanilla, baking powder, and flour.
Spread half of batter onto a 17x11-inch pan.
Spread cherry pie filling on top of batter.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes.

While bars are cooking, prepare frosting.
Combine all ingredients and boil 2 minutes.
Cool slightly, then drizzle on cake.
