Ingredients: 1/4 cup butter 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1-2 teaspoons grated orange zest 1/3 cup sliced almonds 4 eggs, slightly beaten 2/3 cup orange juice 8 thick slices French bread Instructions: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in jellyroll pan or cookie sheet with a lip. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, orange zest and almonds over the melted butter. Mix eggs and orange juice. Dip the bread into the mixture. Bake 20 minutes. Serve nut side up with raspberry, cinnamon or true maple syrup. |
