Ingredients: 6 potatoes (diced) ½ cup onion (chopped) 2 stalks celery (chopped) ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon celery salt 2/3 teaspoon pepper 8 slices bacon 6 tablespoons flour 2 cups of 1% milk Instructions: Put ingredients (except bacon, flour, and milk) in a pot and cover with water - cook until tender. Fry 8 slices of bacon, save 6 tablespoons of drippings. Make white sauce with 6 tablespoons of flour and two cups of 1 percent milk (this helps offset the bacon!). Add white sauce to soup, heat thoroughly. Crumble bacon and add just before serving. |
