Ingredients: 2 cups red or white wine (slightly different taste depending on which you use). You may also substitute ginger ale or club soda, but even it you don't like wine, you really don't taste it in this recipe. 2 cups of sliced strawberries (fresh is best) 1/2 cup granulated sugar - really sugar to taste as some strawberries are very sweet 2 cups of ice cubes Instructions: Because this recipe can be used in so many different ways, it is always a surprise! For Breakfast, it is a slushy or smoothie, for luncheon it is a cold soup, for dinner it is a sherbet refresher - it all depends on how hard you freeze it! Put liquid ingredients into blender. Then add strawberries. Then sugar. Then ice cubes. Process until smooth. Transfer to plastic freezer bag and freeze. Take out what you need for which variation of the recipe you are using. If using it as soup or slushie, give it a quick turn in the blender to remix just before serving. Garnish with a whole strawberry dipped in chocolate or sprig of fresh mint. Just try not to eat/drink it all as you are making it! |
