Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients: Filling: 1/3 cup nonfat sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup chocolate chips Betty Crocker Sweet Rewards Devil's Food Cake Mix, divided 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 2 eggs 2 cups applesauce or one 16 oz. canned pears in light syrup, pureed 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (or other nuts) 2 teaspoons water Instructions: Melt filling (milk & chocolate chips) in microwave, stir unto smooth and set aside. Combine 2 1/2 cups cake mix with cinnamon, eggs and applesauce or pear puree. Mix at low speed, then another 2 minutes at medium speed. Spray coated apring-form pan. Pour cake batter, then filling into pan. Top with remaining cake mix, nuts and water. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until top springs back. Serve with whipped cream. Optional: garnish with raspberry syrup and fresh raspberries. |
