Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 15 servings 

Ingredients:
Coffee Cake:
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk

Filling:
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; blend well. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; mix well. Alternately add flour mixture, sour cream and milk to butter mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture and mixing well after each addition. Spoon half of batter into greased and floured pan. In small bowl, combine all filling ingredients; mix well. Sprinkle mixture evenly over batter in pan. Spoon remaining batter over filling.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; invert onto wire rack. Cool at least 15 minutes. Serve warm or cool.
