Ingredients: 1 pkg fudge or devil's food cake mix
21-ounce can sweet cherry pie filling
1 tsp rum extract
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
2 eggs at room temperature
GLAZE:
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp extra-rich milk
3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray with Pam a 10" or 12" tube pan and lightly flour.
Combine cake mix, pie filling, extracts and eggs. Stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan and bake until cake tests done, 30-40 minutes. Remove to rack and cool 15 minutes before turning cake out of baking pan. Immediately pour glaze over cake.
Glaze: Combine sugar, butter and milk in microwave-safe bowl. Bring to boil, stir. Microwave at medium temperature for 2 minutes. Add chocolate chips, stir until thoroughly blended and glaze is smooth. Chips must be completely melted. If necessary, return to microwave for 30 seconds. Add vanilla.
