Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix margarine or butter with sugar. Stir in flour. (If dough is crumbly, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened.)

Roll dough about 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured, cloth-covered board (or use waxed paper or other special surface for dough). Cut into desired shape. (Suggest small shapes as shortbread is very filling.) Place about 1/2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, about 15-20 minutes. (May take longer in higher elevations.) Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

Makes about 2 dozen 1 1/2 x 1 inch cookies; 95 calories per cookie.
