Ingredients: To Die For French Toast 1/2 cup melted butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 Tbsp. cinnamon 2 Granny Smith Apples (Peeled & Sliced) 1 Loaf Homebaked Bread (crusts removed & thickly sliced) 6 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Grated nutmeg 1 1/2 cups milk or half & half Instructions: Mix melted butter, brown sugar & cinnamon, in bottom of 9"X 9" baking pan. Cover with layer of sliced apples. Layer thick bread slices on top, making 2 layers. Mix eggs with vanilla and nutmeg and milk and pour over layers. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes until golden. Serve inverted so apples are on top, sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
