Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 6 servings 

Ingredients:
2 cups buttermilk
1 & 1/2 cups quick oats
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:
Mix buttermilk and oats in large bowl. Whisk in eggs. Add flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir in hazelnuts.

Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls on heated oiled griddle. Cook about two minutes on each side.

Serve with maple syrup and butter pats. Garnish with powdered sugar and chopped hazelnuts.
