Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 cup oat bran
2 tablespoons lecithin granules
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vegetable seasoning
1/3 cup butter
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2/3 cup yogurt

Instructions:
Preheat ovean to 450 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, oat bran, lecithin, wheat germ, baking powder, and seasoning. Remove 1/2 cup of this mixture and set aside to use later to lightly flour the surface and to knead into the dough. Add the butter to the remaining flour mnixture and blend it in with a pastry blender or 2 knives. Combine the maple syrup and yogurt, stirring until well blended. Add to the bowl of flour mixture. Turn the dough out onto floured surface and gently knead in all the remaining flour. Roll out the dough into a circle 1/2-inch thick. Using a 2-inch cutter or an inverted glass, cut out as many biscuits as possible. Place them 1 inch apart on a baking sheet, lightly greased or lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the middle of the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

Serve biscuits with homemade, unsweetened fruit preserves, or children will Inn-joy them with nut butters
