Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 2 dozen 

Ingredients:
4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups frozen & rinsed Door County cherries
1 cup butter (melted)
1 cup milk
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping:
1 cup flour
1/3 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425 F. Combine dry ingredients and blend. In a separate bowl, toss 1 tbsp. of dry ingredients with cherries. In a large bowl, mix butter, milk, eggs and vanilla. Then add dry ingredients and stir until well moistened. Stir in cherries. Spoon batter into muffin tins to about 3/4 full and sprinkle with topping mixture. Bake at 425 F for 15-20 minutes.

Optional topping - sprinkle with sugar.
