 Fourteener's Granola Recipe

Ingredients:
4 cups old fashioned oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup orange juice
2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp vanilla
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup Craisins (or dried cranberries)
1/3 cup chopped dried apricots


Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, mix together oats, sugar, cinnamon, walnuts and sunflower seeds. In microwave bowl, mix orange juice, honey, and vanilla. Microwave 1 minute or just until honey is melted and mixture is blended.

Pour orange juice mixture over oat mixture and stir well to coat. Spread mixture into large baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until mixture is golden. Remove from the oven and add the raisins, Craisins and dried apricots. Cool well before storing.

*When making oatmeal, add 1-2 Tablespoons granola just before it is totally cooked.
