Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
1 loaf of Portuguese Sweet Bread or other Brioche loaf
8 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
6 Tbsp sugar, divided
4 oz Grand Marnier, divided
1 pint strawberries sliced
Confectioners sugar for dusting
butter for griddle
warm maple syrup for serving

Instructions:
Slice bread into 6 slices and then slice each in half so you have 12 pieces, and set aside. Wisk eggs, cream, 5 Tbsp sugar and 3 oz of Grand Marnier, and refrigerate until ready. Sprinkle strawberries with 1 Tbsp of sugar and 1 oz of Grand Marnier, cover with plastic.

To cook, heat griddle and coat with butter. Dip bread slices in cream batter until thoroughly soaked. Sautee on griddle until golden brown on each side, about 5 minutes or less per side.

To serve, place two slices on each plate, garnish with Tbsp of marinated strawberries and dust with Confectioners sugar. Serve with warm maple syrup.
