Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Whether you're hosting a formal get-together or need a quick brunch idea, this book will spark your imagination and your appetite.

Yield: 3 dozen 

Ingredients:
4 large eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
5 squares melted chocolate
½ cup melted butter
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
confectioners' sugar



Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together eggs, sugar, and vanilla, then blend in chocolate and butter. In separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Add the dry ingredients from the second bowl to the chocolate mixture. Stir to thoroughly mix and then add nuts. Chill mixture for several hours. Shape into 1½ inch balls, roll into confectioners' sugar, and place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper at least 2 inches apart. Bake 10-15 minutes (for softer cookies, remove from oven while centers are still soft).
