Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup raisins
2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Orange Glaze:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp butter, room temperature
1 1/4 Tbsp orange juice

Instructions:
Prheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x19 baking pan. In a medium saucpan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar, applesauce, egg, vanilla and salt, blending well. Stir in raisins and walnuts. Spread evenly in greased baking pan. Bake 23-25 minutes or unitl a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan. Meanwhile, prepare orange glaze. When glaze has set, cut into bars.

Orange Glaze:
In small bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter, and orange juice until smooth and of spreading consistency.
