Ingredients: 1 loaf French bread cut into 1 1/2 slices 2 eggs 3/4 cups sugar 1 cup half & half 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 Tbsp vanilla extract 1 tsp ground nutmeg Instructions: Place bread slices in a glass dish. In a medium bowl, mix the remaining ingredients and pour half the mixture over the bread slices. Let stand 5-10 minutes and turn the bread slices over. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the bread and refrigerate covered overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 40-50 minutes and garnish with fresh fruit. |
