Ingredients: Spray or butter 8 ramekins 8 slices Canadian bacon 6 eggs, beaten 2 cups skim or whole milk 2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup seasoned croutons dash salt and pepper optional curry powder or minced garlic to taste (about 1/2 tsp.) Instructions: Combine all ingredients except the Canadian bacon. Ladle even amounts into each ramekin and place one slice of Canadian bacon on top, pushing down slightly with a fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes until browned and crusty. Serve immediately. May top each popover with butter or maple syrup if curry and garlic are omitted. |
