Ingredients: 2 cups flour 3 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 stick butter 1/2 cup golden raisins or dried cranberries 3/4 cup buttermilk 2 large eggs Instructions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon into bowl or food processor. Cut in the butter until mixture has consistency of course meal. Add raisins (or cranberries). Beat together buttermilk and eggs. Stir liquid ingredients into dry. Stir together to form a smooth dough. Don't overbeat. Drop by heaping tablespoon onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden. |
