Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients: 4 1/2 cups flour 1 1/2 tsp cloves 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 1/2 tsp ginger 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 Tbsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 3 cups sugar 1 cup corn oil 4 eggs 1 large can of pumpkin (3 cups) 1 cup raisins or currants Instructions: Cream the oil and sugar. Add the eggs and blend well. Add the pumpkin and mix well again. Sift together the dry ingredients and stir until all is just blended. Fold in the raisins. The batter is very thick. Divide between 2 greased bread pans and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour or until a tester comes out clean. |
