Ingredients: 1 dozen eggs, separated 1 1/2 cups sugar plus 1-2 Tbsp 1 quart heavy whipping cream 1/2 gallon purchased eggnog (I like Land O' Lakes) 1 cup rum 1 cup brandy Instructions: Whip egg whites until stiff, gradually adding 1-2 Tbsp sugar toward the end. Whip egg yolks until fluffy, gradually adding 1 cup sugar toward the end. Whip the whipping cream until stiff, gradually adding 1/2 cup sugar toward the end. In a very large bowl, blend whipped egg yolks and purchased eggnog. Add rum and brandy and mix well. Fold in whipped cream until smooth. Gently fold in whipped egg whites. Refrigerate. After pouring into individual glasses, sprinkle with nutmeg if desired.Makes 1 gallon. |
