Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 2 dozen 

Ingredients:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 cups rolled oats
¾ cup brown sugar and ¾ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup butter (or margarine) and ½ cup shortening – melted
2 eggs –beaten with 1 teaspoon salt



Instructions:
Mix everything together – use your hands – it is very satisfying.

Drop small balls (teaspoon size) on greased baking sheet and flatten with fork. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.

These store beautifully in tins in the freezer. (You can also add dried fruits such as cranberries or raisins, nuts, or white chocolate chunks to the mixture if you wish.)
