Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup butter or margerine (room temperature)
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 Tablespoons water
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
3 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, optional

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, water, vanilla & eggs. Stir together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt, and add to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on to baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes.


Notes:
Dough keeps well in fridge for hot cookies on demand. If at sea level, add an additional 1/2 cup of brown sugar & 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
