Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Ingredients:
1 Loaf french bread, cut into cubes
l/2 cup raisins, soaked 1/2 hour in warm water
1 quart half and half, half milk, half cream
4 eggs, beaten
l/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 pinch salt
1/4 pound butter, melted


Instructions:
Fill a 9" x 9" x 2-1/2" baking pan with the bread cubes and sprinkle raisins on top. Use enough bread to come to the top of the pan. Whip the remaining ingredients together to make a batter, pour over top of bread, stir lightly. Allow the bread to soak l/2 hour.

Bake at 325°F for about 40 minutes, 'til the pudding is golden brown and puffed around the edges. The center should be "set" but still a little soft. Can make ahead of time and heated in the microwave. Serve with whipped cream.
