Ingredients: 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 T light corn syrup 2 T maple syrup 12 slices of bread 6 eggs, beaten 1 1/2 cup milk 1 t vanilla 1/4 t salt 1 apple-peeled, cored and sliced 1/4" thick Instructions: Combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and maple syrup in small saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Place apple slices on bottom of 13 x 9 x 2" baking dish. Pour syrup mixture over apples. Place 6 slices of bread on top of syrup. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt. Mix. Pour half egg mixture over bread. Place 6 slices of bread on top. Pour rest of egg on bread. Chill overnight in refrigerator. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. |
