Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 1 hrPrep Time: 20 min
Yield: 8 servingsInactive Prep Time: 12 hr

Ingredients:
8 large apples peeled, cored and sliced (macintosh is our favorite)
1 tea cinnamon. 1/2 tea nutmeg, 1/2 tea clove
2 tablespoons of butter

2 1/2 cups oatmeal (uncooked0
1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
2 table spoons butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tea cinnamon, 1/4 tea nutmeg, 1/4 tea clove

Instructions:
mix apples, spices and butter in large bowl, microwave 5 minutes, stir and another 2-3 minutes till apples are soft (may add cranberries if desired)
Place apple mixture in 8x8x2 pan which you have sprayed with pam. Mix oats, spices, sugar and butter in same bowl, microwave 3 min to melt butter, stir to blend. Pour over apple mixture in pan. Cover and let sit overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes with cover on then 30 min with cover off. Serve hot. Some people like to pour milk or cream over.
