Cook Time: 5 minPrep Time: 20 min
Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:
Dry ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt

Liquid ingredients:
1 1/2 cup milk
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt vanilla extract
4 ounce melted butter (cooled to room temp)
2 eggs

1 cup dried cherries, chopped to a medium dice

Maine Maple syrup
Dollop of freshly whipped cream

Instructions:
1. Heat electric waffle iron to 385°F.

2. Combine the dry ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl and stir to combine.

3. Combine the liquid ingredients in large mixing bowl.

4. Add dry ingredients to the milk/sour cream mixture and lightly combine, add cherries and fold into finished batter.

5. Drop the batter and spread with the back of spoon or spatula to cover the waffle grid, about 3-4 minutes per side, depending on your waffle iron. We recommend an electric waffle iron, one that offers good temperature control and a Teflon surface.

6. Serve with warm Maine maple syrup - Vermont syrup will do in a pinch! Garnish with a dollop of freshly whipped cream.
