1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup light brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 or 2 teaspoons chopped candied ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 12 ounce package chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
Reserve: 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:
Cream butter, add brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix flour, baking soda, ginger, salt and cinnamon. Blend into buttermix. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Chill until firm. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and dredge in powdered sugar. Put on lightly greased cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake at 375°F for 9-10 minutes, don't let them get too brown, just set. Cool 5 minutes and then remove to cooling rack.
