Ingredients: 1 3/4 cups flour 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup shortening 2 eggs 2 tablespoons milk 3-4 ripe bananas mashed 1/4 cup chopped walnuts Instructions: Combine the first 4 ingredients and set aside. Cream together sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in milk. Alternately beat in dry mixture and mashed bananas. Fold in chopped walnuts. Pour into a well greased bread pan. Bake for 60 minutes at 350°F. |
