Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 50 minPrep Time: 20 min
Yield: 6 servingsInactive Prep Time: 5 min

Ingredients:
12 large eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 heaping tsp butterscotch pudding mix
1 loaf Italian,French,Portugese or similar bread
1 cup light brown sugar
1/4 lb butter (1 stick)
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Dash nutmeg

Instructions:
Slice bread diagonally into 3/4" to 1" slices (16 for 8 people)
Blend: eggs, milk, vanilla, and pudding mix and soak bread in mixture until absorbed.
Arrange wet bread slices in 9"x13" greased pan so they overlap each other slightly.
Melt together: brown sugar; butter;maple syrup; cinnamon and nutmeg and pour over bread so that it is evenly distributed between the slices.
Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 50 minutes. Sprinkle with pecans and sliced bananas. Serve with warm maple syrup and bacon or sausage.

Notes:
Optional: Arrange thinly sliced apple slices between each slice of bread before covering with melted butter/brown sugar mix
