Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 4 servings 

Ingredients:
8 Slices of Challa Bread, cut ½ “ thick
8 Eggs, beaten
½ Cup Heavy Cream
½ Cup Cream Cheese, softened
½ Cup Half & Half
¼ Cup Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 Tbl Sugar
12 Large Fresh Strawberries, sliced
1 Tsp Vanilla
4 Tbl Butter

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line up bread slices on cutting board. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Spread thin layer of cream cheese mixture on each bread slice. Top half the bread slices with a layer of strawberries. Use the remaining slices of bread to make four sandwiches with strawberries and cream cheese in the middle. Whisk together eggs, cream, half & half, milk, sugar, and vanilla in medium bowl. Soak sandwiches in egg mixture for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter over medium high heat in 12” oven proof non-stick pan. Transfer french toast to pan and sauté until golden. Turn and sauté for 2 more minutes. Place pan in oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, slice in half.

Notes:
Yummy! Serve with vanilla anglaise or pure maple syrup.
