Ingredients: For each croissant: 1 medium croissant, cut into top and bottom halves ¨÷ cup grated Swiss cheese, divided 1 Tablespoon grated parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoons grated Monterey jack or mozzarella cheese 1 large egg ¨ù cup milk ¨û teaspoon pepper dash nutmeg dash salt ¨ù cup finely diced ham Instructions: Preheat oven to 350¡Æ. Lightly grease a shallow ovenproof bowl. Slice croissant in half and place in bowl. Sprinkle each croissant bottom half with ham, ¨ù cup Swiss cheese and the other cheeses. In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, milk and seasonings. Pour over the croissant and cheeses. Replace top. Sprinkle with the remaining Swiss cheese. Bake about 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the croissants are golden brown. |
