Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 50 min 
Yield: 4 servingsInactive Prep Time: 55 min

Ingredients:
4 red baking apples
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup nuts – pecans or walnuts
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1 tbsp butter
1 cup port wine
Heavy cream


Instructions:
· Carefully core apples – I use a melon baller
· Cut away a bit of the top of the apple and slice just
enough from the bottom to set the apple firmly in a baking dish
(without piercing the apple)
Combine the sugar, nuts, and cinnamon
Stuff the mixture into the apples
Dab with little pieces of butter
Pour the wine slowly over the apples
Cover with a lid or foil
Bake and baste at 350 for about 50 minutes
Test the apple for tenderness
