Ingredients: ½ cup margarine 1-1/2 cups brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 8-12 slices of bread 8-9 eggs pinch of salt 1-3/4 to 2 cups milk Instructions: Melt margarine in a 9x13 inch pan. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and stir. Layer bread on mixture. Beat eggs and salt together; then add milk. Pour over bread. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight. The next morning, uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cut into squares and place upside down on plate so melted sugar/cinnamon is on top. *Can also add chopped pecans to bottom layer before bread is added. |
