Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 8 servings 

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
2 tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tbsp. honey
1 8-oz. can crescent dinner rolls
12 pitted dates

Instructions:
Combine butter, pecans, brown sugar, and honey and pour into an ungreased 8 or 9" square baking pan. Heat in the oven until the butter melts; stir and set aside. Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. Cut dates in half and place 1 1/2 dates inside each triangle and roll up. Place on top of the butter mixture, and bake in a 400-degree oven 15-18 minutes; let cool for 3 minutes. Invert the pan and serve warm.
