Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Yield: 2 loavesInactive Prep Time: 2 hr

Ingredients:
500gr white bread flour
˝ cup milk
100gr unsalted butter
4 teaspoons dried instant yeast
2 teaspoons brown sugar
approx 250-300ml water
pinch of salt
1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon milk for egg glaze.


Instructions:
1. Combine ingredients and from into dough.
2. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead until
smooth, shiny and elastic.
3. Place in a warm, covered bowl and allow to rise
until doubled in size (approx 1–2 hrs)
(I use the bread machine set it to “dough” and
remove dough and continue from here)
4. Gently knead to remove air bubbles
5. Divide into two portions in order to make two
loaves
6. Divide each portion three pieces lengthwise and
plait to form loaf.
7. Place on well buttered baking sheet, cover with
clean tea towel and allow to rise in a warm
location until doubled in size.
8. Brush top of loaves with egg glaze and bake in
a preheated oven 200C for 30 – 40 minutes
9. Allow to cool

Serve with a selection of homemade conserves and hot chocolate or coffee for a delicious breakfast. Hope you enjoy it !!
