Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Whether you're hosting a formal get-together or need a quick brunch idea, this book will spark your imagination and your appetite.

Cook Time: 40 minPrep Time: 20 min
Yield: 6 servings 

Ingredients:
3 c. strawberries
1 ½ c sugar
2 pie crusts
3 T, cornstarch
3 c/ diced rhubarb
2 T. flour
1 T. butter
Powdered sugar


Instructions:
Cap & clean berries, slice into halves and place into medium size sauce pan.
Add 1/2 c. sugar, mashing slightly to extract juice.
Stir cornstarch into a little cold water until smooth. Add to the berries.
Cook gently until clear & juice is thickened.
Spread rhubarb over 1 pie crust in baking dish
Sprinkle w/flour & 1c. sugar
Dot w/ butter
When berry mixture is slightly cooled – pour over rhubarb
Cover w/ pie crust – press edges together to seal
Slit top in a few places
Bake in 450 oven for 10 mins
Reduce to 350 for 30 mins
