Ingredients: 1 packet dried yeast
1/4 C warm water
pinch sugar
1/2 C warm milk
4T melted butter
1/2 C sugar
2t vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/4 C fresh squeezed orange juice
orange zest
5-6 C bread flour
Instructions: Mix, milk, sugar, vanilla, butter, sugar, eggs and 1/2 C of flour. Add yest mixture.
Fold in zest while adding 1/2 C of flour until soft ball peels from bowl sides.
Knead gently. Lightly cover and place in a warm spot until dough doubles in size.
Punch down dough and divide in half. Grease two bread pans and place each half in a pan. Let rise.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Notes: This makes a wonderful sweet bread for toast.
I slice the loaves and freeze the bread.
