I just want you to know that I feel this is the greatest list of breakfast food recipes that I have ever come across. Believe me, I surf the web many hours a day and I am lucky to have found this web site. Keep up the good work.

Cook Time: 15 minPrep Time: 10 min
Yield: 12 servingsInactive Prep Time: 30 min

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. orange extract
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup dried cranberrys
1 cup milk

Instructions:
1) Sift together first 4 ingrediants.
2) Cut in shortening (as you would with a pie)until you get marble sized chunks of shortening. 3)Add the orange extract, milk and dried cranberrys. MIX VERY GENTLY just until mixed, don't over mix.
4)Refrigerate for 30min.
5)Pre-heat oven at 425%
6)Spoon/drop cold dough onto cookie sheet and bake for 14-16 min. or until golden brown.

Notes:
If you "think softly and lightly" while mixing the ingredients. You will be very pleased with how light and flakey your scones will turn out.

Also if you "drop" instead of roll your dough you will get nice crusty bits on top.
