Ingredients:
4 LARGE EGGS
1/2 CUP HALF AND HALF
1/4 TSP. VANILLA
2 TBSP. SUGAR
1/4 TSP. GROUND CINNAMON
SALT (TO TASTE)
3 TSP. UNSALTED BUTTER (M0RE, IF NECESSARY)
8 SLICES BREAD, CUT 1-INCH THICK (USE AN EGG BREAD
IF AVAILABLE)

Instructions:
WISK TOGETHER THE EGGS, HALF AND HALF, VANILLA,
SUGAR, CINNAMON AND SALT IN A BOWL. MELT A TEASPOON
OF THE BATTER ON A NONSTICK GRIDDLE OVER MEDIUM
HEAT. SOAK 2 SLICES OF THE BREAD AT A TIME IN THE
BATTER FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE, PRESSING DOWN ON THE
BREAD SO THAT IT ABSORBS THE BATTER. COOK ABOUT 3
MINUTES ON EACH SIDE, OR UNTIL GOLDEN. SERVE
IMMEDIATELY WITH SYRUP, JAM OR FRUIT.
