Cinnamon Mornings and Chocolate Dreams

Cook Time: 45 minPrep Time: 15 min
Yield: 6 servings 

Ingredients:
6 large baking apples
1/3 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 t. softened butter
1 t. grated lemon rind

Instructions:
Core and remove about 1 1/2" of peel around stem end.
Arrange in a buttered shallow baking dish that is just large enough to hold apples.

Mix nuts, brown sugar, butter and lemon rind and divide mixture among apples. Add water to the dish to a depth of 1/4"

Baked uncovered at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes. Baste as needed.


Notes:
Good served with warm "Apple Cinnamon Muffins" and fresh butter.
