Ingredients: 6 Tbsp melted margarine or butter 6 eggs 2 tsp sugar 2 tbsp flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 cup milk 1 cup orange juice & 1/2 cup triple sec (can substitute 1 1/2 cups orange juice) 8 thick slices French Bread Instructions: Place bread in a 13 X 9 inch greased pan. Mix all other ingredients together and pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, turn the bread slices over and then back at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with warm syrup, honey or jams. Notes: Watch closely when first making this recipe to be sure it doesn't brown too much. May have to decrease either baking time or temperature if you have a very hot oven. |
